Short-Term Program

1. Short-term Abroad Courses

Short-term Abroad Courses are offered by departments, and students who complete each course will gain 1 academic credit. The outgoing group is led by a faculty member, and the program duration depends on the actual course plan.

Previous programs have mostly focused on language study and cultural content, with programs in North Asia (South Korea, Japan), Southeast Asia (Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia), Europe (Germany, Czech Republic, Poland), along with the United States and Turkey.

As most of these courses are organized during the summer school break, OIC offers a summer abroad courses briefing around April each year. The instructor of each course will introduce their project, fees, registration deadlines and so on. If you are interested in participating in the course briefing, please pay attention to our announcements and register on the NCCU Enrollment System.

2. Short-Term Program Information

During winter and summer breaks, students can also participate in short-term programs offered by our partner universities. The OIC website lists at least 20 such short-term courses every year. Interested students should register in accordance with school regulations, and pay the full registration fee (subsidies are not available).

The OIC encourages students to go abroad during winter and summer breaks to enrich their professional knowledge, enhance their language skills, and expand their international horizons. The OIC not only serves as a clearing house for information on short-term programs available through NCCU sister schools, but also organizes summer courses with specific partner universities, such as the University of California at Berkeley. NCCU students enjoy discounted fees, and the OIC will also assist in registration matters.

Program offerings, schedules and fees differ between partner universities, so please refer to the latest announcement on the OIC website for details.
