I. Regulations
- International degree students with a valid ARC who would like to work/intern legally in Taiwan must apply for a work permit regardless of whether the position is paid or not or whether it is on or off campus.
- Work permits have a maximum validity of six months, and may be renewed.
- Deadline for fall semester work permit: March 31.
- Deadline for spring semester work permit: Sep. 30.
- Weekly maximum working hours: 20 (except for winter/summer break)
- Failure to follow these regulations will result in work permit revocation and a fine of NTD30,000-150,000.
- If scholarship recipients are found to be working illegally in Taiwan, their scholarships will be revoked, and any living stipends awarded must be returned as of the first date of such illegal employment.
- Recipients of these two scholarships cannot apply based on financial hardship reasons.
II. Application Criteria
- International degree students with valid ARC and completed registration
- Application will only be considered for those who can:
- Demonstrate financial hardship
- Are employed by NCCU for academic or research purposes
- Are graduate students conducting research with NCCU approval
