Greetings from the Graduate School of International Christian University, Japan !

I hope you all keep very well.

This is Kaoruko WATANABE from ICU Graduate School, and I am writing today to announce that the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship will be available for highly qualified graduate students coming from our exchange partners to our Graduate School. 

Please note that this is NOT a scholarship for exchange students.

We would be grateful if you could pass on the attached files "1. ICU JpnGovScholarship2022 tentative" and "2. ICU GS Entry Form" to those who wish to study at ICU Graduate School from September 2022, and nominate only one student.
We have attached another pdf file "3. ICU Letter on MEXT Scholarship for AY2022", which includes the scanned letter to partner universities by the Dean of ICU Graduate School.

It is required for doctoral course applicants to contact a faculty member who can supervise the doctoral course students (those with D mark on this list) and receive their approval that they can accept the applicant as their advisee upon official acceptance by ICU. 

If the applicants cannot find the contact information of their desired advisor from the linked researcher information database from the afore-mentioned list, 

please advise them to send an email to us at icu-mextscholarship@icu.ac.jp and we will inform them of the advisor's email address.

As part of MEXT strategy, those who hold a nationality of specific countries on the list attached herewith will only apply.

Unfortunately we are still waiting for the government's official notification on the scholarship.
We may have to replace some information on the scholarship notification and we will send you the latest application forms for applicants to fill in once the government releases the information.

Only SAMPLE forms are included in the attached documents for applicants.

Application Deadline (in Japan time UTC+9):
1. Send the “ICU GS Entry Form” via E-mail prior to application. (by Thursday, December 23, 2021)
2. Send the scanned copies of all documents via E-mail by Tuesday, January 11, 2022.
3. Send the original documents by registered express mail by Tuesday, January 25, 2022.
