As we bid farewell to summer 2021, we look forward to summer 2022 with hopes of better times ahead and anticipate welcoming your students to our campus and online community. We would like to share with you the following updates.
LIVE INFORMATION SESSIONS-Open to all!
We are excited to announce that we will be hosting live virtual Summer Sessions 2021 Info Sessions designed for visiting students interested in enrolling in Summer Sessions. These info sessions will be offered from the end of October through March and everyone is welcome to join!
LIVE AFFILIATE WEBINAR SERIES-for Affiliate Staff Members only
We will also be hosting an online webinar series for Summer Sessions affiliate staff to provide information, resources, and training to staff members who recruit, advise, and support students attending UC Berkeley Summer Sessions. There will be three information sessions covering different topics offered over the winter and in the spring. Information about the first session is listed below. We hope you will attend!
December Webinar: Berkeley Summer Sessions Overview
We will provide an overview of Summer Sessions and the affiliate program, including affiliate benefits, preparing your students for summer registration, and all resources you will need to promote UC Berkeley Summer Sessions 2021. The date and registration link will be provided next month.
We will host a second webinar in January to go into more specifics about the application and enrollment process. Then in late spring, we will have our third webinar focused on preparing your students for arrival at UC Berkeley.
CLASSES & COURSE FORMAT
Classes for Summer 2022 will be published in the Berkeley Academic Guide in December at classes.berkeley.edu. In the meantime, please encourage your students to browse our course selection from summer 2021 as the majority of these courses will be offered again next summer.
Berkeley courses are now fully in-person for fall semester, and once again we have many international students currently joining us in the San Francisco Bay Area. We remain optimistic that we will be able to host international students on-campus next summer.
Our online courses, designed to deliver asynchronous instruction to students from anywhere in the world at times most convenient for them, will also remain available to all students in summer 2022.
We are hopeful that students will have the opportunity to choose to participate in either on-site or online courses for summer 2022, depending on their preferences.

SUMMER RATES & DEADLINES
Summer 2022 rates and deadlines will be published on the summer website in December or early January at the latest.
EARLY Registration for affiliated students opens in early February 2022, then registration to the general public will open two weeks later.
