[Announcement] ZUKOnnect Fellowships 2024
2023/12/15

The Zukunftskolleg is pleased to announce a new call for Zukunftskolleg Konnect (ZUKOnnect) Fellowships. The ZUKOnnect Fellowships support early career researchers from Africa, Asia and Latin America related to one of the thirteen departments of the University of Konstanz. Application deadline is 15 February 2024.

(Post-)doctoral stipends for 3 months to attract promising early career researchers from Africa, Asia and Latin America. The on-site fellowships are complemented by a digital affiliation extending it to a duration of 12-months.

To identify the best candidates from all disciplines, all (junior-)professors of the University of Konstanz, prospective Humboldt Scouts, Konstanz alumni ambassadors and strategic partners in Africa, Asia and Latin America are encouraged to make suggestions to the Zukunftskolleg's Internal Liaison Board (ILB). Proposals from external researchers will need to link up with a local host (faculty member from one of the departments of the University of Konstanz, who works in a similar research field) that can act as a mentor during the on-campus research stay.

The ZUKOnnect Fellowships aim to strengthen the cultural diversity at the Zukunftskolleg and thereby promote and stimulate the intellectual and integrative discourse amongst our fellows. By broadening our academic horizons to countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America, we want to advance intercontinental dialogue in research.

The ZUKOnnect Fellows will team up with Zukunftskolleg Fellows who will assist them with settling into their departments and will support them during their entire research stay. Thus, the ZUKOnnect Fellows will be an integral part of the community at the Zukunftskolleg, regardless of the rather short duration. Zukunftskolleg Fellows likewise will benefit greatly from the intercultural exchange.

Applications and nominations with an affiliation into the “Centre of the Advanced Studies of of Collective Behaviour” or Cluster of Excellence “The Politics of Inequality” are highly welcome.

We are currently calling for nomination proposals and applications until 15 February 2024 (12:00 CET).
