Leaving NCCU

After completing their exchange journey in NCCU, exchange students need to complete the departure procedure before leaving Taiwan.

To complete the departure procedure, all exchange students must first visit the Main Library and have the Departure Procedure Form for Exchange Students (attached below) stamped, regardless of whether or not the students have opened a library account or borrowed any books. Students who have borrowed library materials must return all books and settle any outstanding fees before the form can be stamped.

After obtaining the library stamp, the departure procedure differs between students staying at NCCU-iHouse or off-campus accommodation and students staying in on-campus dormitories. Please review the following information carefully and proceed accordingly:

  • Students staying at NCCU-iHouse or off-campus accommodation may submit the stamped Departure Procedure Form directly to the OIC office to complete the departure procedure.

  • Students staying in on-campus dormitories must visit the Dorm Service Center, and ask the dorm staff to inspect their room and stamp both the Departure Procedure Form and the Deposit Refund Form (attached below). Since the dorm staff will only stamp the forms if the room is clean, students must first pack all personal belongings, clean the rooms thoroughly, and return the dorm key (if applicable) before requesting a room inspection.

After completing the room inspection and having both forms stamped, students staying in on-campus dormitories may submit the stamped forms to the OIC office to complete the departure procedure. The OIC will also refund the dorm deposit in cash to the student, provided that the room is clean and no items are damaged or missing.

After the departure procedure has been fully completed, the OIC will send the students' official academic transcript to their respective home university within 5 to 8 weeks after the end of the exchange period.
