The NCCU Office of International Cooperation (OIC) hosts an International Student Orientation session prior to the start of each semester. This provides incoming students with important information and helps them acclimate to life in Taiwan and at NCCU. The orientation also provides an excellent opportunity for you to meet other international students and start your NCCU experience off on the right foot.
Topics Covered in Orientation
- Getting Started at NCCU: Visa & ARC, course selection, bank accounts, insurance, Mandarin courses, semester schedule, adjusting to life at NCCU, campus resources.
- Important Resources: Health and wellness, gender equality, safety, and legal requirements
- Student Panel: A Practical Guide to living in Taipei: International students tell you everything you need to know!
- Campus Tour (in-person)
As you prepare for your journey, visit the Facebook pages of the Office of International Cooperation, and the International Student Association. You can ask questions and exchange your thoughts with current NCCU international students.
Also check out the International Student section of the OIC website for detailed information on the visa application process, pre-departure checklists, and much more.
