“NCCU Academic Excellence Scholarship for International Students” & “Chung Hwa Rotary Educational Foundation Academic Scholarship” application information (fall 2025)

(The official document shall prevail over the following content.)

1. International students who are registered as degree-seeking students at NCCU in fall 2025 are eligible to apply.  The international students here refer to those who entered NCCU according to “NCCU Admission Guidelines for International Students”.  (Exchange students, non-degree students and students with scholarships are excluded.)

2. Application deadline:

Completed application must be received no later than October 15, 2025 (Wednesday).

3. Please follow the steps below to complete the application:

        Step 1: Submit the online application form (https://forms.gle/Ngj4FEAQtnWToLe98)

        Step 2: Ask one of your NCCU teachers/professors to help complete the Recommendation Form and return it to OIC. The recommendation form will be emailed to the recommender by OIC (there will be a different deadline)

        Step 3: Email the following document(s) to OIC at alison@nccu.edu.tw:

(1) One copy of official transcript in Chinese (grades of spring 2025 included)

*Please apply for an official transcript in Chinese (with grades of all the semesters) at the Registration Section and email OIC the scanned copy. No need to submit a hardcopy.

(2) Certificate of volunteering service that helps with the internationalization of NCCU and the communities (https://goo.gl/EDYyMd)

(3) Certificates of extra-curricular activities (if applicable)

4. "NCCU Academic Excellence Scholarship for International Students" regulations can be downloaded at OIC web site for reference.

5. Graduate students who are eligible to apply for the Fall 2025 “NCCU Academic Excellence Scholarship for International Students” and have completed at least 6 credits in the previous semester may also apply for the “Chung Hwa Rotary Educational Foundation Academic Scholarship.” Among the applicants, one master’s student and one doctoral student with the highest average grade from the previous semester will be nominated for the Rotary Scholarship. Please note that recipients of the Rotary Scholarship are not eligible to receive the “NCCU Academic Excellence Scholarship for International Students” simultaneously.

6. Please refer to the attached guidelines for details on the required application materials for the Chung Hwa Rotary Educational Foundation Academic Scholarship, as well as the responsibilities of scholarship recipients. All recipients must fulfill the requirements outlined in the guidelines.
