Important Reminder: Proper Use of Chunghwa Post Savings Accounts

Dear International Students,
We hope you are settling in well at NCCU. Recently, there has been a rise in fraud cases targeting students’ postal savings accounts. To protect your personal funds and ensure your visa status remains valid, please take note of the following:
1.    Safeguard Your Account Information

  • Do not lend, lease, or sell your Chunghwa Post account, ATM card, transaction PIN, or mobile banking credentials to anyone.
  • Sharing this information—even temporarily—can expose you to criminal liability and may jeopardize your right to continue studying in Taiwan.

2.    Account Closure Before Departure

  • Before your residence permit expires and you leave Taiwan, please visit any Chunghwa Post office in person to clear and close your account.
  • If you obtain an extension of your legal stay, remember to update your personal data (e.g., ARC expiration date) with the Post Office so your account remains active and accessible.

3.    Please See Attached Materials

We have provided a set of posters and leaflets summarizing these points.

Thank you for your cooperation in keeping your accounts—and your studies—safe.
