NCCU is one of Taiwan’s most internationalized institutions of higher education and enjoys frequent exchanges and academic collaborations with universities worldwide. Every year, hundreds of scholars from many countries around the world come to NCCU for academic visits, along with approximately 300 exchange students, 500 degree-seeking foreign students, and other researchers visiting on a short-term basis. At any given time, there are nearly 1,000 international students studying and researching at NCCU, making it one of the friendliest and most welcoming campuses in Taiwan for international students.
To better accommodate our international visitors, the Office of International Cooperation (OIC) and the Office of General Affairs manage the NCCU-iHouse, a seven-floor residential building located just a three-minute walk from the NCCU main gate. The iHouse residence serves the university’s international student community, providing a variety of clean and comfortable rooms to choose from, each equipped with high-speed internet and landline.
For optimal resident comfort, NCCU-iHouse is run by a hotel-management team that offers 24-hour front-desk service. There are common halls on the first, second, fourth, and seventh floors equipped with leisure facilities for resident use. NCCU-iHouse also hosts regular social events open to all residents.
