Incoming Students

The following information is for Incoming University-level exchange students. You may consult with your college / department in charge for any inquiry if you are recruited from NCCU college / department.

Each year NCCU welcomes over 100 exchange students to study in its various programs as non-degree seeking students. The exchange period is usually 1 or 2 semesters. Courses are offered on a semester basis. Our Fall semester is from September to January and our Spring semester is from February to June.

    What You Can Study

    In principle, NCCU accepts students nominated by its partner universities (list of NCCU partner universities) on reciprocal basis. Students can apply for the programs according to the requirements of their home universities or their aspirations.

    Mandarin classes in CLC are fee-paying programs unless otherwise stated in the agreement. Exchange students may apply for "Mandarin Studies Scholarship" to waive the tuition fees.

  • University-wide English-taught Course Offerings

  • OIC English-taught Courses Exclusively for Exchange Students (view in Firefox or Google Chrome)

  • International Master & Doctoral Programs (Some of the programs are required to pay additional tuition fees. For details, please contact the coordinator of NCCU.)

    Eligibility Criteria

    Please contact the International Office of your university for detailed information regarding the exchange program with NCCU.

    Required Application Documents

    1. Online Application (refer to the Instruction first)
    2. Two 2" x 2" photos for registration form and student ID card
    3. Certification of nomination from the home university
    4. A photocopy of passport
    5. Enrollment certificate in English (applicable for non-degree students)
    6. Graduation certificate in English (applicable for degree seeking students)
    7. An official transcript in English from the home university
    8. A study plan written in Chinese or English
